When we are not at work helping folks buy and sell  property, we are working in our communities to support various causes that are important to each of us.  
 

One Laptop per Child Avenue 3 is a proud sponsor of ONE LAPTOP PER CHILD (OLPC) which is an organization working throughout the world to supply economically disadvantaged children and families with low cost computers for educational purposes.
Twestival Boston MA In addition, Avenue 3 was a recent participant and sponsor of Twestival in Boston. Proceeds from the networking gathering went to aid the worldwide relief efforts of Concern Worldwide. Visit the Concern Worldwide website at www.concern.net to learn more about this organization.
Elizabeth Island, Arlington MA

Avenue 3 is proud to sponsor Nellie Aikenhead and the conservation efforts of those working in the Campaign to Protect Elizabeth Island.  The conservation project will permenantly protect the two acre island located in Spy Pond in Arlington as a refuge for wildlife and scenic resource for residents.  For more info email info@arlingtonlandtrust.org.

Operation American Soldier

Debbie Heffernan is an active participant in Operation American Soldier.  This program is designed to provide soldiers serving in other countries with “care packages” of food, games, clothing and letters.

Habitat for Humanity

Judith Conley has spent time working with Habitat for Humanity in the commuities of Greater Boston and Marthas Vineyard, Massachusetts. Judy found the work to be greatly rewarding and would encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to view the Habtiat for Humanity website at www.habitat.org.

Nellie Aikenhead uses her land conservation expertise as a volunteer member of the Arlington Land Trust Board. She also provides consulting services and advice to landowners and municipalities. She works with projects as far ranging as a historic church retreat on ½ mile water frontage to a 240 acre horse farm in Massachusetts.
